BEEPLATE Types

There are four hollow body sizes: HK20, HK26, HK31 and HK38.

When using 2 cm rebar spacers below the hollow bodies, penetration of the concrete into the hollow bodies is not necessary. The weight reduction is higher.

In approx. 70% of the slab surface of a normal point bearing slab, hollow bodies can be used.

Dimensioning

The dimensioning of the BEEPLATE Honeycomb Floor can be carried out according to Eurocode 2 by observing the national appendixes. For the definition of the internal forces we recommend the use of a programme following the finite element method. The BEEPLATE is calculated and dimensioned like a solid cross-section single slab. 

After definition of the supports, these slab areas are specified as solid. The hollow bodies can be assembled in the remnant area.

Therefore to determine the internal forces in the area of the supports, the dead weight of a solid slab is to be set, while in the hollow body range, the dead weight may be reduced.
